Yarra Ranges SDS provides an extensive camping program for our school community. We provide a number of enriching experiences for our students through our camping program, in both urban and rural settings. This gives our students a meaningful opportunity to learn through the outdoors and increase their independence in an environment outside of school.
We are members of The Blackwood and Garfield camps and we primarily use them in our Juniors and Middle Years. Juniors do a day “camp” to Garfield while Middle Years students have the opportunity to participate in an overnight camp.
Our Senior Pathways students make a choice about which camp they would like to attend . For example, they may have the choice between Snow, Urban, and Regional camps.
